Integrated Spacecraft Avionics

The IAU is a highly integrated unit that combines C&DH and EPS functions. The system is modular that provides multiple configuration options for LEO, GEO, and interplanetary spacecraft, including solar array switching, power switching, battery charging, CPU, digital and analog I/O, valve and motor drivers, and custom interfaces.

BRE avionics have proven on-orbit performance at LEO and GEO!

Command and Data Handling Units

Standalone C&DH systems are availabe in single string and redundant configurations with modular CPU and I/O capability, including MIL-STD-1553, LVDS, RS-422, discrete I/O, various analog I/O, spacewire, and ethernet via LVDS.

CPU options include BRE's 440 Rad-Hard CPU, BAE RAD750, and CPU-less systems with FPGA based command & control implementations.

Electrical Power Systems

Standalone EPS systems are available with modular configurations to accomodate solar array switching, power switching, hardware & software based battery charging, torque rod drivers, valve drivers, motor drivers, and custom power functions.

Available boards include CPU boards with the BRE440 CPU, high-speed LVDS I/O, Multi-Channel 422 I/O boards, MIL-STD-1553B, and analog I/O boards. Common form factors such as cPCI 3U/6U are supported.

Available boards include CPU boards with an AMCC440 CPU and specialized resource rich 3U cPCI boards for analog and digital I/O. These boards are designed to be used in "Hardware In The Loop" testsets or as independent units in ground test equipment for board, box, or spacecraft integration and test activities.
