Broad Reach Engineering Company Completes Acquisition of Octant Technologies Inc.
Acquisition Adds San Jose Office and Complementary Technologies
TEMPE, AZ (September 14, 2010) – Broad Reach Engineering Company announces the acquisition of Octant Technologies of San Jose, California.
Octant’s domain expertise is in providing Control System and Embedded Software Solutions for Aerospace applications. Octants experience and technology solutions are applied in the areas of Satellites Technologies, Simulation Systems, Processor-In-The Loop Systems, Hardware-In-The-Loop Systems, and Ground Support Software.
Octant’s engineering experience spans all phases of control system development – from analysis, simulation, algorithm design, system identification, control prototyping to system integration and implementation. Octant employees are experienced users of National Instruments MATRIXx / SystemBuild®/AutoCode®, LabVIEW® and The Mathworks / Simulink® control design, simulation and code generation tools
“The acquisition of Octant significantly strengthens our software development and simulation capabilities. Broad Reach Engineering intends to continue the development, application, and maintenance of existing Octant products. “We will leverage this acquisition to better serve both Octant’s existing customers and Broad Reach customers. The acquisition was completed on September 2, 2010. The Octant staff, the San Jose office, and all Octant products will be maintained under the Broad Reach company banner.
